Christmas crafting

I can now share my crafted Christmas projects. First, this rug.

This went to my sister, Jenny, in our exchange. I could really only see it in her house so I was really glad it went to her. I had some trepidation about it because I really felt it was for her or maybe my sister Katie’s kids. I am looking forward to seeing this after it is washed a few times. Here is the back where you can see the stitching:

This next project went to my sister, Katie. This is a book I made. I haven’t made a book for many years, but it turned out really well. She said she would use it for her little girl’s drawings.

I make one of these denim lap quilts every year. This year I gave to my brother and sister-in-law. Hopefully, they will be able to sell it for their upcoming trip to China to adopt a second child.

Here is the back. I love this wild horse fabric. My friend, Sandy, gave to me a couple years ago and I finally found the perfect project for it.

  1. Great gifts….I always find handmade has that little something more.

    • It’s always fun to make something and think of the person while I am doing it. Thank you for your kind comment!
